Reasons Why Going To A Low Level Law School Is Worth It
[00:00:00] Is going to a low level law school worth it?
Yes, of course it is. The presentation I did last week, is about the reasons to become an attorney.
Going to a lower level law school is worth it, if you really want to be a lawyer. You're not interested in our largest law firms and you feel like it's a calling for you.
The largest law firms, that's not the whole practice of law. There's no reason to do that. You can make a very good living as an attorney doing all sorts of work. You could, have your own practice, you work in the government and you can do all sorts of things. The only thing that a low level law school does, it keeps you out of working on the larger law firms. So this is like basically saying, I don't want to play tennis, unless I can be a professional tennis player.
There's very few spots for professional tennis players compared to people that are just playing tennis. And so if you like the law and you think that there are things that are positive about it, you can go to any law school you want.
Did you know that the largest practice areas and the most lucrative is medical malpractice and personal injury and that's where the money is. it was interesting. Isn't the legal profession for people that are suing and all that sort of thing? It's just [00:01:00] an example, but I remember when I was in my second year of law school, I got very interested in personal injury law and I went all around the country interviewing personal injury attorneys and and I found that, I was interviewing successful attorneys in small and large markets, and the people that are doing the best financially, are often personal injury attorneys.
You can do all sorts of things. A low level law school, you can be a family law attorney. You could also get a job in a large law firm if you do very well there. It doesn't really matter. I think it's worth it if you want to practice law.
