On Negotiating for Bonuses [00:00:00] Anyone who has moved before bonus time, have you been successful in using the awkward time to get a better deal? I'm ready to get the F out regardless of the year-end bonus. Year-end this year, it's going to be... the places I'm considering need someone now, and I'm curious if I could walk the line, "could we start in January 2022 because of no bonus? No? Can you give me your bonus then? A lot of firms are very busy right now. And if you ask, the new firm will actually give you a bonus, or you can wait, but sometimes the new firm will give you a bonus, even though you're starting. Otherwise, if it was me, I would probably wait, but some firms will give you a year-end bonus, even when you're starting. Other times, if you're working with a recruiter, you can negotiate to get a bonus. Now, as opposed to from the recruiter may be able to help you negotiate, getting a bonus from the start. And many times they will do that, especially when it's very busy. So that's something that does happen.
