Description:
Here, Harrison Barnes is examining a senior attorney’s resume, which he thinks is a perfect and exceptional resume. One thing he does not like is the areas of experience and accomplishment part at the top. Other than that, the rest is well-written. Based on the resume in the video, the following are the tips he recommends in writing a well-seasoned resume.
- Show your expertise and focus.
- Demonstrate career advancement and upward mobility (start from lower level then move up).
- Additional experience is short and summarized yet creates an impact.
- Communicate diversity.
- Emphasize only the critical information. You may include other things such as additional language expertise but with less attention by using a smaller font.

Okay. So this is another, so when you start seeing these senior resumes of people that are government attorneys are not government attorneys, in-house attorneys, a lot of times they will put all of the stuff in here. And and I don't know why I suppose, relationships building it should be proper relationship, but these are again, I don't like this stuff.
I know that a lot of people do but I don't think that this is necessary because it, what it does is it shows that there's a little bit too much thought going in your resume. And and you feel like you need to walk people down and show them that you've done all these things. When, when you've been at a big company like Al brands which is a very big, this is.
A very good resume. This person is pretty much a superstar in terms of their work. I don't think this is necessary. But I have absolutely no problems with this resume for an in house job. There's so many good things about it. I mean I could go into them, but th the first one is that, the person got an MBA and then went to law school.
They've been in the Midwest. They have a lot of employment stability, so they started at Honda in 2008 and they moved up to be the general council of manufacturing, which is a huge job I'm in, it's very important job there. And then they moved over to L brands and they've continually been advancing there.
So this is an exceptional restaurant there's really I don't really have anything to offer except taking this stuff off. This person will you're in Permanente, Matt senior, actually, now this person's not that serious actually know that they have this additional experience.
So I liked what they did here. They put down their additional experience. This is actually very smart. So they, the person, the what's so good about this resume and why this resume is an exceptional resume is because what this person has done is they're showing you their expertise and their focus.
So their focus is working in house and starting at a lower level, and then moving up, looking at that and these huge companies, that's just awesome. And same thing here, starting out at a lower level than moving up in these very significant okay. American companies and I'm signing, Honda's obviously not American, but it's Marysville, it's that's where it is so great resume.
Nothing wrong with it at all. And then they've taken their other experiences instead of planning up the resume and making it three or four pages. Everyone knows, yeah. Being an associate of warriors means I don't know that I would put down labor and employment group, but that's up to them.
And then law clerk, Supreme court of Ohio, and then yeah, and then they even didn't put their or the earlier experience at Honda either. So they probably worked at home since, who knows maybe since the 1990s, but they just made it very short. So there's a lot of great things.
And
show you some other things too, which I like about the resume. Here I don't know if this is part of it. This is part of it. So this person is is diverse, I think probably and but you have to dig to find it. It's not like they're not putting it's not in your face.
They're just saying, this is what I do. And they probably, they might even speak Spanish who knows. But they're not putting all the stuff. They're not, they're just saying, I'm interested in this, I'm providing leadership. I'm, hosting things and that's it.
So this is communicating diversity, but it's also, everything's very short and it's also showing upward mobility and everything. That's good about this person. So this is a very well seasoned, smart, a good resume, and it shows a lot of maturity and a lot of really good things. And and this person the only thing that will hurt this person from getting a job is probably if they're looking, even looking for a job, I doubt they are, but if they were would just be probably their age, maybe cause there was a little bit of employment discrimination and totally people amped location, I'm sure even the location, this person get plenty of jobs.
Great resume. Okay. So let's see here. So nice work. Did this resume and even like the smaller font with all these affiliations, that's cool. All right.
