"Does your resume advice with regards to applying to large law firms apply similarly to in-house counsel positions with large corporations or companies? I received some contradictory advice from other recruiters and including repeating certain words or phrases to get past the ATS systems."
I don't know how all ATS systems work inside of companies. Large companies will have other attorneys reviewing your resume. It's not going to be screened by an ATS system. I really do not think you need to do that for most companies. Now you have to remember that the value of an ATS system is making sure that the right people get found. I don't think you want to put all these keywords on your resume. That makes it look like whoever's hiring you does know what they're doing. You don't need to do that. I don't know why recruiters will be telling you that, but I don't agree with that at all.
