"Do you have any suggestions on how to look for government jobs?"
Yes. I have a couple of different suggestions. The first suggestion is a site called USAjobs.gov, which has nothing but government jobs in it. There's also LawCrossing.com, which has the lists of the city governments in the United States. There are so many government offices around the country.
In addition to LawCrossing, you can use Wikipedia to find local jobs. That's how I would do it. Honestly, when people tell me that they're having a hard time finding a job, I get so discouraged because this is what I do for a living. I see, and I know how many jobs are out there. There are so many sources of jobs, and no one's really finding them. And it makes no sense to me.
