"Is it easy to get a matters list from a previous firm in order to comply with a conflicts check at a new firm? I left my big law job without another position, and am currently interviewing for a new position. I have time records with the names of clients, and briefed matter descriptions, but I don't have adverse party names for a number of matters."
Yeah I think they would. I think that, when they do a conflicts check typically , your previous firm is gonna cooperate with that. That is very common. And the other thing is that the law firm you're going to often can waive the conflicts if they don't think they're serious. So that shouldn't be too much of a problem."
