Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney specializing in Worker's Compensation and Civil Litigation for its Council Bluffs, IA office. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 5+ years of experience, strong litigation and trial skills, and a desire to work in a dynamic legal environment.

Duties

• Collaborate with experienced attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants.
• Prepare evidence, documents, and presentations for trial.
• Handle depositions, mediations, and court appearances.
• Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.

Requirements

• Two to five plus years of legal experience.
• Knowledge of state and federal laws and procedures.
• Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage large caseloads and multiple priorities.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Commitment to high performance standards.

Education

• Law degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license in Iowa.
• Ability to become licensed in Illinois, Kansas, Indiana, and Nebraska.
