Financial Services Litigation Associate Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney with two to five years of financial services litigation experience to join their Los Angeles, California office. The role offers a supportive team environment with opportunities for autonomy and hands-on experience under the guidance of seasoned partners.

Duties

• Manage case files and engage in motion practice.
• Participate in courtroom opportunities and depositions.
• Prepare for trials and engage in alternative dispute resolution.
• Analyze, organize, and draft pleadings, including motions and discovery documents.
• Conduct e-discovery and fact development.
• Appear in state and federal courts for various pre-trial matters.

Requirements

• Active California license required.
• Experience from a regional, national, or reputable local law firm preferred.
• Excellent writing and oral advocacy skills.
• Judicial clerkship experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with FDCPA, FCRA, TCPA, UCC, EFTA, TILA, and UCL/UDAP.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle a challenging workload.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree required.

Certifications

• Active membership in the California State Bar.
