Job Overview

A growing litigation boutique law firm is seeking to expand its team of Associate Attorneys. This firm provides legal services in a wide range of practice areas for sophisticated clients across various industries, including banking, retail, pharmaceuticals, transportation, gaming, and technology. Associates will have the opportunity to work on complex, high-profile matters and gain hands-on experience throughout all stages of litigation. Duties

  • Handle a variety of litigation tasks, including depositions, drafting pleadings, and arguing motions in court.
  • Examine witnesses at trial and engage in client counseling.
  • Take and defend depositions, and interact directly with clients and opposing counsel.
  • Contribute substantively to significant and high-profile cases.
  • Manage assignments with a focus on delivering high-quality legal services.

Requirements

  • Experience: 2-4 years of professional litigation experience. Judicial law clerks are also encouraged to apply.
  • Skills: Strong legal and factual analytical abilities, excellent communication and writing skills, and a determined work ethic.
  • Work Ethic: Passion for practicing law and a commitment to client service.
  • Office Requirement: Ability to work in the office a minimum of three days per week.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Active admission to the state bar where the candidate practices (or eligibility for admission).

Skills

  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to handle complex litigation tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Proven ability to manage cases and clients, from intake through trial.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
