Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Foreclosure Attorney in Dallas, TX. The role involves managing a caseload of foreclosure, title, and litigation matters for banks, investors, mortgage servicers, and other creditors.

Duties

  • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff on foreclosure procedures, documents, and local filing requirements.
  • Review and analyze client documents, loan documents, title searches, and pleadings.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, certifications, objections, and other legal documents.
  • Attend hearings, settlement conferences, and other required appearances.
  • Communicate case statuses and developments to clients via email and phone.
  • Respond promptly to communications from various stakeholders.
  • Escalate matters when necessary.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities in a high-volume environment.
  • Ability to work with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Must be a self-starter.

Education

  • J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed and in good standing in Texas, Oklahoma, or Missouri; additional state licenses are a plus.

Skills

  • Competency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • 2-5 years of litigation experience; experience with secured creditors is a plus.
  • Knowledge of BKFS LoanSphere Default, Sagent Tempo, etc., is a plus.
  • Experience handling replevins is a plus.
  • SharePoint experience is a plus.
