Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Estate Planning Attorney in Meridian, ID. The role involves guiding clients through estate planning processes, drafting legal documents, and participating in marketing initiatives to enhance client relationships and community presence.

Duties

  • Conduct initial consultations with prospective clients and gather necessary information for planning recommendations.
  • Review and update existing clients' estate plans as needed.
  • Engage clients in the preparation of estate planning documents.
  • Complete necessary process forms for paralegals.
  • Schedule document signing meetings within a specified timeframe.
  • Review estate plan drafts to ensure alignment with client needs and recommendations.
  • Conduct document signing appointments, including notarization and explanation of plans.
  • Identify opportunities to refer clients to affiliated financial advisors.
  • Respond to client communications promptly.
  • Maintain detailed notes on all client interactions.
  • Participate in marketing opportunities and collaborate with the operations manager.
  • Work both in-person and remotely as required.

Requirements

  • Licensed attorney by Idaho State Bar.
  • Idaho State Bar Certified Specialist in Trust, Wills & Probate preferred.
  • Knowledge of income, gift, and estate tax laws.
  • Notary Public certification.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Estate Planning.

Education

  • Licensed attorney by Idaho State Bar.

Certifications

  • Idaho State Bar Certified Specialist in Trust, Wills & Probate preferred.
  • Notary Public.
