Job Overview

A law firm seeks a motivated Associate Attorney to join its Spokane, WA office. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in advocating for clients' rights and delivering exceptional legal services. This position is based in Spokane, Washington.

Duties

  • Manage discovery, including propounding and responding to written discovery, taking and defending depositions, and analyzing complex documents.
  • Draft and prepare legal documents, including pleadings and complex motions.
  • Perform legal research.
  • Make court appearances as necessary.
  • Participate in case strategy discussions and contribute innovative ideas.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and team members.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on cases.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Washington required.
  • At least one year of experience in litigation; experience as a plaintiff's attorney and/or prosecutorial or criminal defense experience preferred.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, a team player, reliable, and capable of multitasking and managing a high volume of time-critical projects under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school.

  • Active license to practice law in Washington.
