Duties

  • Draft and edit correspondence and legal documents related to bankruptcy practice.

  • Attend hearings in federal courts throughout the lower peninsula.
  • Manage hearing docket.
  • Maintain client files, documents, and records.

Requirements

  • Valid Michigan bar license; admittance to (or ability to gain admittance) in the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and interpersonal).
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
  • Ability to adapt and work effectively with various levels of legal staff and third parties.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Michigan Bar License.
