Associate Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney in Greenwood Village, CO. The ideal candidate will have experience in insurance defense litigation, including defending first and third-party claims, drafting coverage analyses, and conducting depositions and court hearings in both state and federal court. Strong research, writing, and independent thinking skills are essential. Candidates must be licensed to practice law in Colorado and be prepared to manage cases from pre-litigation through trial and appeal.

Duties

• Analyze complex legal and factual issues and conduct extensive legal research.
• Develop and present defense strategies on behalf of clients.
• Prepare complex pleadings, written discovery, depositions, motions, and briefs.
• Provide effective and timely communications and legal advice to clients and claims specialists.
• Communicate with the court, witnesses, opposing counsel, and co-counsel.
• Ensure prompt, efficient, and effective disposition of assigned cases.
• Assist in preparing and presenting witnesses and evidence at trials and hearings.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
• Strong writing skills and excellent work ethic.

Education

• Bachelor's degree with J.D.
• Admission to the bar in Colorado.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Colorado.
