A law firm seeks a full-time Workers' Compensation Attorney based in Palm Desert, CA. The attorney will manage and resolve workers' compensation cases, focusing on legal strategy, advocacy, and compliance within a structured case management system.

Duties

• Evaluate workers' compensation cases for legal merit and strategy.
• Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and depositions.
• Prepare and file legal documents and settlement agreements.
• Conduct settlement negotiations for favorable outcomes.
• Provide legal guidance to Case Managers.
• Review complex matters requiring attorney-level decisions.
• Perform legal research to support case strategy.
• Communicate with clients regarding case status and outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the case management system.
• Ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate to improve legal workflows and efficiency.

Requirements

• Strong legal analysis and strategic decision-making skills.
• Effective oral advocacy and negotiation skills.
• Clear communication with clients and internal teams.
• Strong time management and ability to handle a high-volume caseload.
• Ability to work within established processes and protocols.
• Adaptability to changing priorities and procedures.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active license to practice law in California and in good standing.

Skills

• Knowledge of workers' compensation statutes and regulations.
• Experience with legal ethics and professional responsibility.

• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
