Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Guardianship Elder Law Associate in Orlando, FL, to focus on complex guardianship planning for high-net-worth clients. The ideal candidate will possess 5-10 years of experience in guardianship, special needs estate planning, and Medicaid planning, along with strong communication skills and a professional demeanor.

Duties

• Manage a caseload from start to finish.
• Conduct intake and consultations.
• Draft, e-file, and serve pleadings.
• Manage client expectations and return calls within 24 hours during the week.
• Appear in court in Orlando and throughout Florida, if necessary.
• Network and build relationships to grow the business.

Requirements

• Florida bar license.
• 5-10 years of experience in guardianship, Medicaid planning, and/or estate planning, with a focus on special needs planning.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Ability to adapt well to change and maintain a positive attitude under stress.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize urgent issues.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Litigation experience preferred.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Florida.
