Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Real Estate Associate to join its Public & Private Infrastructure & Real Estate Department in Austin, Texas. The successful candidate will work with a team handling diverse real estate matters across the United States and internationally.

Duties

  • Manage real estate transactions, including acquisition, financing, planning, zoning, construction, leasing, and sale.
  • Represent clients such as tenants, landlords, lenders, and investors in various real estate dealings.
  • Draft and review legal documents related to real estate transactions.
  • Collaborate with clients and legal teams to provide strategic solutions.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in real estate and land use law, preferably in a national law firm.
  • Expertise in real estate finance, acquisitions, leasing, and development.
  • Proficiency in drafting and understanding title, survey, and due diligence.
  • Experience with renewable and conventional energy project acquisitions is advantageous.
  • Strong academic record and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with innovative technology platforms.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.

Skills

  • Excellent communication and drafting skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in using legal technology tools.
