Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly motivated Litigation Attorney to join its Sheffield Village, Ohio office. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in all phases of litigation and will engage in client-facing activities, including entity formation and transactional work. This role offers the opportunity to develop litigation and trial skills while building a client base.

Duties

  • Manage litigation matters from inception to resolution
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and memoranda
  • Conduct depositions, discovery, and pre-trial work
  • Appear in court and participate in hearings, mediations, and trials
  • Manage client communications and case strategy
  • Create corporate documents for business entities
  • Prepare transactional documents
  • Offer guidance as general counsel
  • Collaborate with legal team on complex litigation

Requirements

  • 5-7 years of litigation experience
  • Experience in client intake, drafting pleadings, and trial work
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Portable book of business encouraged but not required

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Ohio
