Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Business Litigation Attorney in San Antonio, Texas. The ideal candidate will independently manage complex business disputes from inception through trial, providing strategic legal representation and client advocacy.

Duties

• Provide high-level legal advice and analysis in complex business and commercial disputes.
• Offer strategic input on case development, motion practice, and trial preparation.
• Handle declaratory actions in breach of contract, tortious interference, and insurance disputes.
• Manage cases from pre-litigation through trial, including drafting pleadings and conducting legal research.
• Conduct depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and court appearances.
• Serve as a trusted legal advisor to clients, maintaining regular communication and supporting dispute resolution efforts.
• Collaborate with partners and legal staff, mentoring junior attorneys as needed.
• Ensure compliance with ethical obligations and procedural requirements.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Active Texas Bar license preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in business or commercial litigation.
• Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures in state and federal courts.
• Experience handling breach of contract, shareholder disputes, partnership disputes, business torts, tortious interference, insurance disputes, and declaratory judgment actions.
• Trial preparation and courtroom experience preferred.
• Excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Active Texas Bar license preferred.
