Job Overview

A law firm seeks a dedicated Civil Litigation Attorney to join their team in Leesburg, VA. This role involves handling a variety of civil litigation matters with a focus on providing strategic and precise legal services. Duties

  • Represent clients in various civil litigation matters in Virginia state court.
  • Manage all aspects of civil litigation from inception through resolution.
  • Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, and discovery documents.
  • Develop case strategies through legal research and analysis.
  • Appear in court and participate in hearings, motions, depositions, and trials.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff for cohesive client service.
  • Meet billable hour expectations in line with firm standards.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia, in good standing.
  • Minimum of 3 years of civil litigation experience required.
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently.
  • Strong analytical, writing, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
