Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced associate to join the regulatory practice of its Investment Funds Group in Chicago, IL. The role offers a dynamic experience, assisting fund sponsors with fundraising, transactions, and navigating SEC examination and enforcement matters.

Duties

  • Review offering materials and fund governing documents.
  • Advise clients on compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
  • Prepare SEC filings and respond to examinations.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years of investment funds-related regulatory experience at a global law firm.
  • Strong familiarity with the Investment Advisers Act of 1940.
  • Familiarity with the Investment Company Act of 1940 and Securities Act of 1933 preferred.
  • Admitted to practice in Illinois.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Illinois.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
