Job Title: Mid-Level Private Equity Associate Attorney

Job Overview: A prestigious law firm in Austin, TX is seeking a skilled Mid-Level Private Equity Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team. The successful candidate will have experience working on complex private equity transactions, mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, equity investments, and general corporate matters. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to challenging legal projects in a collaborative and professional environment.

Duties:

  • Advise private equity firms and portfolio companies on various transactions.
  • Handle mergers and acquisitions, leveraged buyouts, and equity investments.
  • Oversee general corporate legal matters related to private equity clients.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys to provide comprehensive legal solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex transaction documents.
  • Manage multiple cases and projects concurrently with high attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of private equity experience.
  • Significant experience working at an AmLaw 100 law firm or with the SEC.
  • Strong background in complex corporate transactions.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the Texas Bar is required.

Certifications:

  • Texas Bar admission (mandatory).

Skills:

  • Strong analytical and legal research skills.
  • Excellent writing and communication abilities.
  • Attention to detail and high level of organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong business judgment and decision-making skills.
