Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level associate to join their corporate practice group in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and private equity, focusing on representing financial sponsors and strategic buyers/sellers.

Duties

• Represent financial sponsors and strategic buyers/sellers in M&A and private equity transactions.
• Prepare acquisition and disposition agreements.
• Handle related corporate matters.

Requirements

• Four to six years of M&A and private equity experience.
• Admitted to the Illinois Bar.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Illinois Bar admission.

Skills

• Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
