Job Overview

A law firm seeks an entry level associate attorney in Fairfax, VA. The firm is expanding its team of dedicated family and criminal law attorneys. The ideal candidate will have an interest in domestic law, including divorce, child custody/support, adoptions, domestic violence, protective orders, and criminal and traffic law.

Duties

  • Conduct legal research with proficiency.
  • Attend return hearings and pretrial conferences.
  • Manage time and deadlines effectively.

Requirements

  • Membership in the Virginia State Bar in good standing.
  • Excellent verbal and legal writing skills.
  • Ownership of transportation.

Education

  • Juris Doctor degree.

Certifications

  • Virginia Bar certification required; candidates who have sat for the exam will be considered.

  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
