Job Overview

A law firm seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team in Little Rock, Arkansas. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a newly licensed attorney to develop their litigation practice in a collaborative and dynamic environment. The successful candidate will support partners in managing active caseloads from initiation through resolution, conducting legal research, drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs, attending hearings, and handling depositions.

Duties

  • Handle a portfolio of cases from initiation through resolution, including pre-litigation and trial preparation.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and draft documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery.
  • Assist with depositions, document review, and court hearings.
  • Meet regularly with clients, provide advice, and conduct consultations.
  • Engage in settlement negotiations with opposing counsel.
  • Meet annual billable hour targets.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education

  • Juris doctor or equivalent from an accredited law school required.

Certifications

  • Active license to practice law and membership in Arkansas Bar.
