Job Overview:

A boutique divorce and family law firm based in downtown Everett is seeking a Family Law Associate Attorney to join its team. The firm serves clients in Snohomish and King Counties, providing personalized and client-focused legal services. This is a hybrid position, offering flexibility with the ability to work from home while collaborating closely with a supportive and dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate is a self-driven, ethical, and detail-oriented professional with a passion for family law and an openness to growth and collaboration.

Location:

  • Everett, WA

Duties:

  • Collaborate with the legal team by actively participating in daily huddles, weekly meetings, and firm growth-building exercises.
  • Engage in systemizing and refining the firm’s operating systems by drafting and updating policies and procedures.
  • Prepare legal documents, case plans, and client communications tailored to the unique facts of each case.
  • Use case management software (PracticeMaster) and Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word and Outlook) to manage case files and timekeeping.
  • Manage a caseload independently while working with a remote support staff.
  • Communicate with clients and staff in a professional, mindful, and effective manner.
  • Participate in continuous professional development and seek feedback to improve legal skills.

Requirements:

  • Licensed to practice law in the State of Washington.
  • Minimum of 2 years of family law experience.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Experience in contemporaneous timekeeping.
  • Comfortable learning and using case management software (PracticeMaster).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word and Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote work environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Professional, ethical, and accountable with a team-driven attitude.
  • Ability to admit mistakes and learn from them.
  • Possess a good sense of humor and positive attitude.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Washington.

Skills:

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently with remote support.
  • Knowledge of family law, including divorce, custody, and child support matters.
  • Ability to engage in continuous learning and adapt to new case management technologies.
