Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Trust and Estates Litigation Attorney in Pleasanton, California. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in trust and estate litigation and a passion for advising clients on a wide range of related issues.

Duties

  • Represent senior citizens and their families in financial elder abuse litigation.
  • Advocate for trustees, executors, administrators, and beneficiaries in trust and probate litigation.
  • Handle contests based on lack of capacity, undue influence, or fraud.
  • Address negligent management of assets and failure to account.
  • Resolve co-trustee disputes and removal and surcharge actions.
  • Manage breach of fiduciary duty cases, including lack of impartiality and self-dealing.
  • Supervise and mentor associates.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the State Bar of California.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in trust and estate litigation.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, consulting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent reputation for integrity and collegiality among both bench and bar.

Education

  • Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school.
