Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Litigation Attorney in California. The firm handles complex legal matters for a diverse clientele, including individuals, small businesses, and large corporations. The role involves litigation and general counsel work, focusing on real property owners and businesses.

Duties

• Draft and respond to written discovery.
• Prepare for and take/defend depositions.
• Attend court hearings, mediations, and settlement conferences.
• Draft pleadings, motions, and other court filings.
• Communicate effectively with clients and managing attorneys.
• Analyze and research case law, statutes, and regulations.
• Organize and manage documents in complex litigation.
• Work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of solid litigation experience.
• Doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed with CA Bar admission.
• Experience drafting and editing pleadings and discovery.
• Preferred experience in depositions and trial preparation.
