Associate - Insurance Coverage Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly motivated attorney with 3-5 years of experience in insurance coverage for a fully remote position based in Dallas. The role involves representing international and domestic insurers on various liability policies, including directors and officers, employment practices, and commercial general liability.

Duties

• Analyze rights and obligations under insurance policies and draft coverage opinions.
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda.
• Prepare pleadings, discovery, motions, and legal correspondence.
• Meet with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties.
• Attend arbitrations, hearings, and mediations as needed.
• Manage matters, deadlines, and client communication proactively.

Requirements

• Excellent academic credentials.
• Admitted to practice in the US; California license preferred.
• Experience in complex insurance coverage matters; litigation experience is a plus.
• Strong legal research, writing, and oral communication skills.
• Effective organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle sensitive and time-sensitive matters.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
