Litigation Associate Attorney

Duties

• Communicate regularly with clients and develop relationships over time.
• Advise clients on case status, arbitrations, and other proceedings.
• Draft and respond to written discovery.
• Prepare legal memoranda, briefs, and status reports.
• Take and defend depositions.
• Draft motions and engage in motion practice.
• Appear in court for hearings and other proceedings.

Requirements

• Active license and good standing with the Illinois or Indiana State Bar.
• 1-3 years of litigation experience preferred; first-year attorneys with prior civil litigation exposure or comparable experience will also be considered.
• Strong written and oral advocacy skills.
• Careful attention to detail and sound legal judgment.
• Ability to manage matters independently while contributing to a team.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois or Indiana.
