Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced Commercial Finance and Commercial Transactions Associate in Detroit, MI. This role involves structuring, negotiating, and documenting complex financial and commercial agreements, and representing clients in related legal matters.

Duties

• Provide legal advice to borrowers and lenders on commercial finance and lending matters.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations for financial transactions.
• Conduct due diligence investigations for financial transactions.
• Draft and negotiate financial and commercial agreements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in commercial lending and commercial finance.
• Strong research, drafting, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication, responsiveness, and collaboration skills.
• Licensed or willing to become licensed to practice law in Michigan.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including prolonged periods of sitting or standing.

Education

• J.D. from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Admission in good standing to at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
