A law firm seeks a Patent Agent with at least 2 years of experience to join its patent prosecution practice in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry or related fields and will support patent application processes both domestically and internationally.

  • Duties
  • Draft and prosecute patent applications through the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and international patent offices.
  • Support due diligence activities related to patent matters.
  • Manage multiple assignments from various partners and clients.
  • Meet and manage internal and client-driven deadlines.
  • Requirements
  • Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
  • Licensed to practice law in the respective state, if applicable.
  • Strong time management and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Education
  • Master's Degree or Doctor of Philosophy in chemistry, organic chemistry, applied chemistry, polymer science, polymer engineering, biochemistry, or a related field.
  • Certifications
  • Registration with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
