Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Patent Associate specializing in video/audio processing to join their team in Broomfield, CO. This role offers the opportunity to work with a diverse client base on national and international matters within the Electrical and Computer Science IP practice area.

Duties

• Draft and prosecute patent applications.
• Collaborate with clients and team members on IP strategies.
• Conduct patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses.
• Provide technical expertise in optics, photonics, and image processing.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of IP prosecution experience.
• Admission to the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
• Experience with codecs, virtual/augmented reality, and AI preferred.

Education

• Degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, or Information Technology.

Certifications

• USPTO admission required.
