Associate Attorney

Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney for a full-time, on-site position in Pleasant Grove, UT. The role involves managing personal injury claims from intake through settlement, negotiating with insurance carriers, and assisting clients during challenging times. Duties

• Manage a caseload of personal injury matters through the pre-litigation process.
• Evaluate liability, damages, and settlement value.
• Draft demand packages and negotiate settlements with insurance carriers.
• Communicate regularly with clients regarding case status and strategy.
• Conduct legal research and draft motions, pleadings, and other legal documents as needed.
• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to advance client matters.
• Assist with litigation and trial preparation when appropriate.

Requirements

• Active Utah Bar license.
• Experience drafting motions and other legal briefs.
• Excellent analytical, writing, and oral advocacy skills, with attention to detail and deadlines.
• Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously, work collaboratively in a team environment, and timely complete projects.
• Experience in personal injury or medical malpractice cases is preferred but not required.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Active Utah Bar license.
