A law firm seeks a first-year associate in Boston, MA, to support its Distressed High Yield Bond Workout practice, bridging Public Finance and Restructuring. The role involves working with diverse clients, including institutional investors and bondholder groups, and collaborating with attorneys nationwide.

Duties

  • Draft and review transactional and litigation documents.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Provide litigation support, including depositions and evidentiary hearings.
  • Manage multiple matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Engage with sophisticated financial products and distressed asset strategies.

Requirements

  • Experience in bankruptcy, restructuring, and commercial finance.
  • Familiarity with public finance is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent legal writing and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Admitted to the Massachusetts Bar or eligible for admission.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.
