Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm is seeking a highly skilled Senior Litigation Attorney with substantial experience in California family law. Based in the Los Angeles area, this role is suited for a seasoned litigator who can independently handle complex family law matters from inception through trial. The position requires deep knowledge of California family law, extensive courtroom experience, and the ability to lead legal strategy and case execution with confidence and precision.

Location:

  • Los Angeles, California

Duties:

  • Litigate complex family law matters, including divorce, custody, support, and domestic violence cases

  • Take and defend depositions of parties, experts, and key witnesses

  • Draft and oppose advanced law and motion filings, including complex Requests for Orders

  • Manage all stages of discovery, including interrogatories, document demands, and subpoenas

  • Prepare for trial, including developing cross-examination and direct examination strategies

  • Represent clients in court hearings, settlement conferences, and trials

  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff on litigation strategy and case management

  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with clients throughout the legal process

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience in California family law

  • Proven ability to manage high-stakes family law cases independently

  • Demonstrated expertise in courtroom advocacy, including motion practice and trial prep

  • Strong background in discovery, depositions, and case evaluation

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school

Certifications:

  • Active license to practice law in California (required)

Skills:

  • Excellent written and oral advocacy skills

  • Strategic thinker with strong legal analysis and problem-solving ability

  • Superior organizational and time management skills

  • Skilled in client communication, especially in emotionally sensitive cases
