Job Overview
A law firm seeks an Intellectual Property Associate Attorney to join its team in Birmingham, AL. The firm handles a wide range of patent, trademark, and other intellectual property matters, including prosecution and litigation, appearing before the USPTO and in various courts.

Duties

  • Assist the IP Practice Team with patent prosecution and IP litigation.
  • Engage in business development activities.
  • Practice across various segments of IP law.

Requirements

  • Registered to practice before the USPTO or eligible to sit for the registration examination.
  • Active bar membership in at least one U.S. state.
  • One to three years of experience in intellectual property law.
  • Technical background, preferably in computer science or electrical engineering.
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and client service skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

  • USPTO registration or eligibility.
