Job Overview

A law firm seeks a motivated Family Law Associate Attorney in Stuart, Florida. This role offers a unique opportunity for courtroom experience and professional growth, working with experienced legal professionals on family law matters such as divorce, paternity, and child support throughout Florida's Treasure Coast.

Duties

  • Manage family law cases from inception through resolution under attorney supervision.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, memoranda, and settlement agreements.
  • Conduct legal research using LexisNexis and other platforms.
  • Prepare for and attend hearings, mediations, and trials.
  • Assist with case strategy development and litigation planning.
  • Communicate professionally with clients and court personnel.
  • Participate in settlement negotiations and mediation preparation.
  • Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with court deadlines.
  • Provide exceptional client service with professionalism and empathy.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active member in good standing with The Florida Bar.
  • 0-5 years of legal experience preferred.
  • Family law experience is welcomed but not required.
  • Prior litigation or civil litigation experience is a plus.
  • Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Strong oral advocacy and communication abilities.
  • Knowledge of Florida Rules of Civil Procedure and Family Law Rules.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
