Job Overview

A law firm seeks an eDiscovery Counsel in Chantilly, VA, with at least five years of experience managing eDiscovery in complex litigations and investigations. The role involves advising client teams on eDiscovery and Information Governance issues, drafting complex legal documents, and collaborating with clients and co-counsel to manage workstreams effectively.

Duties

• Advise clients on eDiscovery and Information Governance issues.
• Draft legal memorandums, protective orders, and ESI agreements.
• Prepare talking points for client meetings and motion hearings.
• Collaborate with experts for task management and testimony preparation.
• Identify and support firm initiatives in thought leadership.
• Lead client engagements with minimal oversight.
• Coach and mentor junior team members.

Requirements

• At least five years of law firm experience.
• Admission to bar in California, Illinois, Minnesota, Virginia, or Washington D.C.
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, including internationally.

Education

• Doctor of Jurisprudence degree.

Certifications

• Bar admission in at least one specified jurisdiction.
