Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Remote Business Immigration Attorney based in Jacksonville, Florida. The position involves preparing and filing employment-based immigration cases, particularly in EB1, EB2-NIW, and RFEs. Candidates must reside in Florida and thrive in a fast-paced environment, working with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Duties

  • Prepare cases, legal strategies, and cover letters diligently.
  • Develop expert-level understanding of client cases, including immigrant/non-immigrant petitions.
  • Manage projects and deadlines, and prepare and revise documents.
  • Explain legal terminology to clients succinctly and timely.
  • Research legal issues by identifying applicable statutes and judicial decisions.
  • Stay informed on legislative changes affecting immigration.
  • Develop solutions to complex legal questions.
  • Provide training on legal topics and updates about immigration laws.
  • Partner with colleagues to resolve client issues and support projects.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and foreign nationals on case issues.
  • Assess eligibility of foreign national employees for visa status.
  • Prepare petitions and applications for submission to DOL and USCIS.
  • Supervise paralegal staff in record keeping and document preparation.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor or Master of Laws degree from an accredited US law school.
  • Admitted to a US state bar in good standing.
  • 1-2 years of experience with EB1, EB2-NIW, O-1, and RFEs preferred.
  • Bilingual in Mandarin is a plus.
  • High-level organizational skills.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong time management and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn across various practice areas.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Education
