A well-established law firm in San Antonio, TX, is seeking a dedicated Attorney to join its team. This full-time, on-site role will involve providing legal advice, conducting in-depth research, and representing clients in property damage insurance litigation and personal injury cases. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a collaborative, client-focused environment with a strong emphasis on advocacy and negotiation.

Duties:

  • Provide legal advice and counsel to clients on property damage insurance and personal injury matters.
  • Conduct legal research and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery.
  • Negotiate settlements and represent clients in negotiations with insurance companies and other parties.
  • Appear in court for hearings, trials, and other legal proceedings.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, updating them on case progress and providing legal recommendations.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff to manage case files and strategize on case development.
  • Assist in preparing for trials, including case strategy development and evidence preparation.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar of Texas.
  • 2-6 years of relevant experience is preferred.
  • First-party bad-faith litigation experience is a must, while experience in personal injury is preferred.
  • Strong research, negotiation, and written communication skills.
  • Experience in a law firm or relevant legal setting is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and client interaction.

Education:

  • Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Texas State Bar Admission required.

Skills:

  • Strong legal research and writing abilities.
  • Proficient in negotiation and settlement discussions.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong client communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
