Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation/Trial Attorney to join their team in Maryland. This role involves managing nursing home, trucking, and other catastrophic injury cases from inception to resolution. The attorney will work remotely, with periodic meetings with the legal team.

Duties

• Speak with clients and investigate cases.
• Draft demand letters and file lawsuits.
• Conduct discovery and depose witnesses and experts.
• Try cases and manage a personal caseload.

Requirements

• Licensed to practice law in Maryland.
• Experience taking and defending depositions.
• Familiarity with the Rules of Civil Procedure.
• Experience with complex personal injury matters.
• Preferred experience in nursing home and medical malpractice cases.
• Experience working with experts and developing expert reports.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Bar admission in Maryland.
