Litigation Attorney (Family Law / Civil)

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a Litigation Attorney with over three years of experience to manage family law and civil litigation cases in Central Illinois, including Peoria, Bloomington, Champaign, and Springfield. This hybrid role offers remote work flexibility with in-person court appearances 2-3 times per week.

Duties

• Handle a caseload of family law and/or civil litigation matters.
• Attend court hearings in Central Illinois approximately 2-3 times per week.
• Manage cases with support from paralegals and senior attorneys.
• Gradually take on more independence as you grow in the role.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in family law and/or civil litigation.
• Licensed in Illinois (or pending admission).
• Comfortable handling cases with guidance and growing into independence.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in Illinois.
