Job Overview

A law firm seeks an Attorney to join their team in Miami, FL. The ideal candidate will have experience in client representation and transactional matters, with the ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively. Statewide travel may be required.

Duties

  • Conduct legal research and provide legal opinions.
  • Represent clients in procedural and transactional legal matters.
  • Prepare, review, and revise legal documents.
  • Monitor and report on legal matters affecting clients.
  • Draft letters and legal pleadings; e-file documents.
  • Participate in case management, legal research, and oral advocacy.
  • Assist with responses to requests for proposals for legal services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • J.D. from an ABA-approved law school.
  • Active member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
  • 3-5 years' experience in the practice of law.
  • Familiarity with the Florida Administrative Procedures Act, Sunshine Law, and Public Records Act.
  • Ability to work with confidential information and prioritize tasks.
  • Prior experience in state or local government preferred.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.)

Certifications

  • Florida Bar membership

  • Strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to understand complex material.
  • Proficient in Windows-based software and Microsoft Office Suite.
