Job Overview

A law firm seeks a dynamic litigation attorney with over 10 years of experience to join their team in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in first-party property insurance law and a passion for advocacy and relationship-building. This role involves managing cases from inception to resolution and contributing to business development efforts.

Duties

  • Represent policyholders in first-party property insurance matters, including coverage disputes and claim denials.
  • Review insurance policies and related materials to assess coverage and build strong cases.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to develop innovative strategies.
  • Manage a diverse caseload, drafting legal documents and maintaining documentation.
  • Negotiate with insurance carriers and opposing counsel to seek advantageous settlements.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings and trials.
  • Provide legal advice to policyholders regarding their rights and options.
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants.
  • Execute strategies to market and build business in the Cincinnati area.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law and in good standing with the applicable state bar.
  • Minimum of 10 years of litigation experience, with expertise in first-party property insurance law preferred.
  • Proven ability to generate new business and develop client relationships.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and trial skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
