Job Overview
A respected law firm based in Lynnwood, Washington is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Associate Attorney to join its team. This position focuses on personal injury and Labor & Industry (L&I) law, providing legal advocacy to injured individuals seeking justice and compensation. Ideal candidates will bring strong litigation experience, case management capabilities, and a passion for client-focused representation.

Location

  • Lynnwood, Washington

Duties

  • Manage a full caseload involving personal injury and L&I/workers’ compensation claims

  • Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, and formulate case strategies

  • Represent clients in depositions, hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials

  • Negotiate settlements and communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance adjusters

  • Work collaboratively with paralegals and legal support staff to move cases forward efficiently

  • Maintain well-documented, organized case files throughout the litigation process

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

  • Active and in good standing with the State Bar of Washington

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in personal injury and/or L&I/workers’ compensation law

  • Strong litigation and negotiation skills

  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills

  • Client-centered approach with professionalism and empathy

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Washington State

Skills

  • Proficiency in legal research and drafting

  • Effective negotiation and litigation abilities

  • Strong organizational and case management skills

  • Ability to work both independently and within a team structure

  • Bilingual ability (Spanish or other language) preferred

  • Trial experience highly desirable
