Job Overview

A law firm seeks an associate to join its Immigration group in Detroit, Michigan. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in immigration law, focusing on business and employment-based immigration.

Duties

• Handle nonimmigrant visas such as H-1B, L-1, TN, O-1, and E-2.
• Manage immigrant petitions including EB-1, EB-2, EB-3, and PERM labor certifications.
• Conduct legal research and draft documents with precision.
• Communicate effectively with clients and manage cases efficiently.
• Collaborate with corporate clients, HR teams, and global mobility programs.
• Address complex Requests for Evidence and audit responses.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in immigration law.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. immigration laws and procedures.
• Experience managing cases with attention to detail and deadlines.
• Proficiency in legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the United States.
