Job Overview

A law firm seeks an experienced litigation attorney to join its office in Louisville, Colorado. The firm represents Indian tribes and tribally owned entities in complex matters involving federal law, economic development, and sovereignty. The ideal candidate will possess strong litigation experience and sound judgment to manage sophisticated cases in federal and tribal forums.

Duties

  • Handle all phases of litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Manage discovery and prepare for depositions, hearings, and trials.
  • Work closely with tribal government clients on sensitive legal and policy matters.
  • Collaborate with partners on complex federal litigation and strategic matters.

Requirements

  • 3-8+ years of litigation experience.
  • Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Experience in federal court required; appellate experience a plus.
  • Familiarity with Federal Indian Law, administrative law, or regulatory matters preferred.
  • Admission (or ability to waive in) in Colorado.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Colorado or eligible for admission.
