Job Overview

A law firm seeks a highly motivated Tax Associate Attorney with a focus on tax credits and impact finance to join their team in Bismarck, ND. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in community development transactions and experience with various tax credits.

Duties

• Advise clients on transactions utilizing new markets, historic rehabilitation, and renewable energy investment tax credits.
• Draft and review legal documents related to tax credit transactions.
• Conduct legal research and analysis on tax-related matters.
• Collaborate with team members to develop strategies for client transactions.

Requirements

• Five or more years of transactional tax experience preferred.
• Experience with NMTCs, HTCs, and RETCs is strongly preferred.
• Excellent writing and analytical skills required.
• Active license to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction.

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in the applicable jurisdiction.
