Job Overview:
A leading law firm is seeking an experienced associate to join its Real Estate Equity group in Dallas. This role is focused on high-level commercial real estate transactions, with a particular emphasis on equity matters such as joint ventures, acquisitions, dispositions, and financings. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 6 years of experience from a top-tier firm and possess the ability to manage complex deals and client relationships in a dynamic practice environment.

Location:

  • Dallas, TX

Duties:

  • Represent clients in commercial real estate equity transactions

  • Structure and negotiate joint ventures, purchase and sale agreements, and development arrangements

  • Advise on acquisition and disposition of real estate assets and portfolios

  • Draft and review equity and financing documents for real estate projects

  • Coordinate with borrowers, lenders, and co-counsel on transaction closings

  • Conduct legal due diligence related to property ownership, title, and financing structures

  • Provide strategic legal counsel throughout the deal lifecycle

Requirements:

  • 4 to 6 years of experience in commercial real estate equity transactions

  • Prior experience with joint ventures, real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and financings

  • Background in handling real estate matters at a large or boutique commercial real estate law firm

  • Familiarity with various deal structures and real estate ownership vehicles

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited U.S. law school

  • Strong academic credentials required

Certifications:

  • Admission to the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction

Skills:

  • Strong drafting and negotiation skills in complex real estate transactions

  • Excellent organizational and time management capabilities

  • Commercially minded with the ability to assess business and legal risk

  • Effective communicator and team collaborator

  • Proven ability to manage multiple matters in a deadline-driven environment
